The estimate interpolates between marks-to-percentile anchor points taken from past MHT-CET score distributions, so it follows the real shape of the curve rather than a flat percentage.
Percentile is a position
Percentile ≈ (candidates scoring at or below you ÷ total candidates in your session) × 100. It measures where you stand, not what fraction of marks you scored.
Crowded bands move fast
Between roughly 90 and 130 marks the candidate pool is densest, so the estimate shows a wider likely range there.
