About Collegemitra
Collegemitra is an independent, student-first platform for Maharashtra's MHT-CET aspirants. It was founded and is run by Ashish Birajdar, who went through the CET counselling process himself and saw how confusing — and how unequal — access to good admission information can be.

Why we built this
Every year, more than four lakh students appear for MHT-CET, and most of them make one of the biggest decisions of their lives — which college and branch to choose — with incomplete information. Cutoff PDFs are scattered across government websites, counselling agents charge thousands of rupees for advice that should be free, and students from smaller towns often fill their CAP option forms almost blind.
Collegemitra exists to close that gap. We collect official CAP cutoff data across academic years, organise it by college, branch, category and seat type, and wrap it in tools that answer the questions students actually ask: "What can I get at 92 percentile?", "Is Computer Engineering at this college realistic for my category?", "How should I order my option form?"
We are not a consultancy and we are not affiliated with the CET Cell, DTE Maharashtra, or any college. Our estimates are honest about their limits — every tool on the site says so — and we always point students back to the official CAP notifications as the final word.
What makes our data different
- Year-tagged cutoffs. Every cutoff row carries its academic year, so you compare like with like instead of mixing old and new admission cycles.
- Category-aware. OPEN, OBC, SC, ST, EWS, NT and other categories see different numbers — because the real cutoffs are different.
- Ranked by fit, not fees. Our predictor sorts by how well a college matches your percentile and preferences, not by who pays us.
- Transparent limits. Where data is missing or an estimate is rough, we say so plainly.
